Grace with her Knitting - Set of Five Self-mailers

Grace is well known around Cape Ann for her beautiful Peruvian style hats.

Over the years Grace knit and gave away or donated to her favorite community causes over four hundred hats. It all started when she went to a yarn store iin Maine and picked up a book by Cynthia Gravelle LeCount called Andean Folk Knitting: Traditions and Techniques from Peru and Bolivia. Grace had questions so she wrote to Cynthia and as a result they became fast friends with Cynthia visiting Grace a number of time in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

If you are fortunate enough to be the owner of one of Grace's hats do not be surprised to hear someone call out, "Is that a Grace Murray?" when you are wearing yours!
